We all know cheating is wrong. That doesn’t stop people from doing it, though. Many people cheat out of fear for leaving the relationship.
Yet, this isn’t the only reason a person will cheat. There are a multitude of reasons including severe cases like mental illnesses caused from childhood traumas and sex addiction. Relationships are tough, but cheating is never the answer.

A Girl With A Complex
One boyfriend just wasn’t enough for this girl. The first boyfriend tells his story:
He was dating this girl that claimed she had a sleeping disorder that made her sleep all the time so she could barely ever answer her phone. One day he called, and she didn’t answer, so he called back, thinking she left her phone in the other room.
The second time, a male voice answered. From there, the two guys talked about the situation. They met up in person and picked through her web of lies. She told the other guy she had depression and didn’t like to talk much, so he would only contact her when she texted him first.
The two guys came up with a plan. The first boyfriend went to her second boyfriend’s house. The second boyfriend then told her to come over because he wanted her to meet his new friend (the first boyfriend).
She came over, kissed him, and asked where the friend was. The first boyfriend walks out of the living room and says hello. She, of course, stops in her tracks and immediately tries to walk out, saying she felt sick.
Arguments start, and she proceeds to tell them she can do what she wants and that she also has two other boyfriends. She created four separate Facebook and Instagram accounts that she updated constantly for each boyfriend.
When it was all said and done, the boyfriends ruined her name in the area. She had to move.

The Younger Woman
It started as emotional cheating when his wife was five months pregnant:
He lied and said he and the younger woman were just friends. His wife decided to message the woman. The woman told her they were just friends. A month later, the husband and younger woman were having sex. The wife found out on Thanksgiving Day.
The two claimed they would stop, but never did. Later, the wife threatens to tell her husband’s girlfriend that they just had sex a few days prior. The husband begs his wife not to tell the younger woman. He says to his wife that the news would devastate her.
The entire situation was a bunch of manipulation and mind games.
In the end, the husband was without a wife or girlfriend. The younger woman left him because she couldn’t commit to a relationship.
Moral of the story: If your significant other is trying to hide a friend from you, chances are, they are more than friends.

The Dating App Dude
He just couldn’t say no:
She states that they were living together and bought a BMW together. She was in school full-time and working full-time. She was also ten years younger, and he was home without a job, leaving her to pay all the bills.
One day she gets a gut feeling like she had when her previous boyfriend was going behind her back. She checks her boyfriend’s phone and sees he has every kind of dating app on his phone. All of which had recent messages on them.
She confronted him, and he told her he felt insecure and needed validation, but he never stopped. Eventually, he started going to the girls’ houses while his girlfriend was at school or work.
It wasn’t until she decided to leave him that he cried for her back. In a desperate attempt, he bought a ring and proposed. She said no but still ended up sleeping with him. She then finds out he calls over another girl right after.
The girlfriend left without turning back.

The Money Sender
They have two kids together, but he has eyes for someone else:
The girlfriend states she and her boyfriend dated since middle school. However, they spent two years apart. They have two kids and an apartment together. She was pregnant with their second child when she found out he was cheating.
The girlfriend discovered that he cheated on her for an entire year without her knowledge. He went further than the typical infidelity, though.
Her boyfriend would cash app money to the girl. He bought her a necklace from Kay’s. He even told the girl he loved her while he was on a date for his girlfriend’s birthday.
She later found out it wasn’t just one girl, though. He was sending money to all kinds of girls in different states. He had his own family to support but would use his money to support other women.
Needless to say, his girlfriend was appalled. She later left him. The damage was too great to salvage the family for the sake of their kids.
Moral of the story: It’s hard to find a good moral for this story. Sometimes the situation just sucks, but you have to pick yourself back up again and keep going.

Six months into the relationship, she got a gut feeling that something was wrong:
She states they were watching Youtube videos one night, and a name pops up on his phone. It was a female name she had never seen before. She then searched for the girl’s name on Facebook.
She found the presumed girl and met up with her in person. The girl proceeded to tell the girlfriend that she and the boyfriend were seeing each other for months. As it turns out, the girl was his ex.
The girlfriend dumps her boyfriend. She and the girl become friends over the next few months. It was then that she found out the two were still having sex. At this point, she and the girl were friends which made things even more devastating for the girlfriend.
Moral of the story: Befriending the girl he is cheating with won’t save your relationship.

The girl states that her best friend left for an extended stay overseas. She was overseas for the better part of a year. The entire time she was gone, her boyfriend and best friend had an affair.
The best friend finally came clean about the situation. However, she waited until her friend came home to tell her.
Moral of the story: Even if it is your best friends’ boyfriend, you have to come clean. It might be hard, but it is the right thing to do.

He helped her reach for something off the top shelf at the grocery store. The rest is history:
He states that he met a married woman at the grocery store. She was too short to reach for something, and he helped her. They hit it off, and he rides with her back to her house. She explains to him that she’s married. However, her husband always leaves her for business trips.
They get to her house, and she invites him inside.
They put away the groceries, and she gives him the look. She then states she is going to put her son down for a nap and to wait for her. She emerges 20 minutes later in her underwear. He undresses, and it’s on from there.
They have sex seven more times before she disappears from his life forever.
To this day, he has never seen or heard from her or her husband.
Moral of the story: Not everyone who cheats, comes clean.

The Chronic Virtual Cheater
One girl took to Reddit to explain her chronic cyber cheating ways:
She was with her boyfriend for over a year before coming clean about four cybersex adventures. However, she came clean without intentions of stopping. She claims she doesn’t think she can. She’s been in therapy to try and process childhood traumas. Yet, she can’t stop no matter how much she cares for her boyfriend.
Moral of the story: Sometimes, people cheat for mental health reasons. The person might want a healthy relationship. Yet, they cheat anyway. They feel terrible about themselves. Still, when the temptation presents itself, they don’t say no. Some even go as far as to look for temptation, knowing it’s wrong.
Dating someone with past traumas that lead them to cheat, is a sticky situation. A situation in which the utmost sensitivity is necessary and most likely the help of a professional as well. It might be best to try and move on, no matter how long you’ve known the person.

A Natural Insemination (NI) Donor is a person that has sexual intercourse with someone to help them start a family.
In this story, the boyfriend was responding to random Craigslist ads. He found lesbians, singles, and wives whose husbands were infertile. All of which were trying to have babies, but couldn’t, and wanted NI donors.

He never put in the effort and always accused her of cheating:
A girl was dating a guy for a little over a year. He consistently checked her phone the entire time. He also regularly accused her of cheating. He told her she didn’t need anyone besides him. In turn, she lost most of her friends. He was insecure.
She started catching him in lies, but he was quick to reassure her. He had an excuse for everything.
She was overthinking everything about their relationship. She was putting herself down for never being satisfied. In the end, she had every right to feel the way she did. She left him because she wasn’t happy with the relationship and felt she couldn’t trust him.
It wasn’t until they broke up that she found out he cheated multiple times throughout their relationship. She was almost expecting this news. By this time, she was in the process of moving on anyway. This allowed her to get over him much easier. She didn’t feel as hurt by the news because of her decision to leave him prior to finding out.
Moral of the story: If you are being accused of cheating, chances are you are getting cheated on.

Relationships are difficult. You never know what you are getting yourself into when you meet someone new. It is important to lay things out on the table before anyone falls too deeply. You might think you are in a committed relationship, while your partner sees it differently.
